Before Terranut: Discipline, Cycling, and the Roots of Our Founder
Introduction
Long before Terranut existed, its foundation was already being built.
Not in a kitchen or a factory — but through discipline, consistency, and commitment to showing up every day. These values were shaped decades ago through competitive cycling and continue to guide how Terranut is built today.
Early Lessons in Discipline (1975)
As a young cyclist in São Paulo, Ed Bifulco competed at a high level in international and national races. In 1975, he stood on the podium after winning a youth cycling competition — a moment captured in a local newspaper article that still holds meaning today.
Competitive cycling teaches you early that talent alone is not enough. Progress comes from routine, preparation, patience, and respect for the process. These lessons stayed long after the race was over.

Growth, Vision, and Long-Term Thinking (1980)
Years later, an interview published in 1980 reflected a deeper mindset — not just about winning races, but about growth, structure, and long-term goals.
The focus had shifted from a single result to building something sustainable. Training, recovery, learning, and surrounding yourself with the right people mattered more than quick wins.
This way of thinking mirrors how Terranut operates today — no shortcuts, no rushing, just steady, intentional progress.

Team, Structure, and Community
Cycling is not an individual journey alone. Behind every athlete is a team — coaches, teammates, supporters — all contributing to the outcome.
That belief carried forward into business. Terranut has always been built with the understanding that strong foundations require structure, collaboration, and shared values.

Bringing It Back to Terranut
Terranut was never meant to be built overnight.
It reflects decades of learning — about discipline, patience, and respect for the process. The same mindset that guided early mornings of training now guides how we choose ingredients, develop products, and grow responsibly.
Clean food, made with intention, and built to last.
