From the Farm to the Factory: Why We Built TerraNut from the Ground Up

My relationship with real food didn't start in a corporate boardroom—it began decades ago on a traditional farm in Poland. Watching my father work the fields and my mother cook from scratch with simple, pure ingredients taught me a foundational truth: food should be clean, nutrient-dense, and made with integrity.

Decades later, as a mother and entrepreneur in the U.S., I looked at modern grocery shelves and saw a frustrating pattern. Snacks labeled as "healthy" were packed with hidden sugars, artificial binders, and mystery preservatives. I knew there had to be a better way to fuel our busy lives.

Breaking the Mold: Why We Built Our Own Facility. When most food brands start, they take a shortcut: they outsource their production to third-party co-packers. It's easier, but you sacrifice control over ingredient quality, freshness, and safety.

I chose the harder path. Driven by pure grit and resilience, I built our very own, highly automated, SQF-certified manufacturing facility right here on Long Island, NY. Owning our factory means we control 100% of what goes into our food—from raw ingredient sourcing to final packaging.

Nutrient-Dense Innovation: Cold-Pressed Perfection. Instead of using high heat that destroys natural vitamins and enzymes, we developed proprietary cold-press technology to protect the raw power of every ingredient.

Today, that commitment comes to life in two unique lines:

• NEW POP: Our revolutionary skinless popcorn—giving you all the satisfying crunch without the annoying hulls!

Where We’re Going Next: What started as a personal mission on a farm has grown into an independent, certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) distributed across universities, specialty retailers like FreshDirect, and online stores nationwide.

Building this factory and brand hasn't been easy, but seeing families fuel their day with pure, honest food makes every late night worth it.
